US Gov't State Dept approved food soak recipe:
One tsp of plain Clorox bleach per gallon of fresh water
Wash all greens,
fruits, veggies and meat. Even organic food.
e-coli, insect eggs, bacteria & fungus reside on all food.

TIME TABLE
Thin skinned fruits & Veggies: 10 minute soak
Leafy greens:
15 minute soak
Hard skinned fruits & Veggies: 20 minute soak
Frozen meat and eggs:
20 minute soak
A final plain fresh water soak for a full 20 minutes.
(You'll be shocked at how much longer your produce lasts)
